General Electric's IC697PWR711M is a 100-watt power supply module. For Series 90-70, the Power Supply Module was created. The unit may operate on 120 VAC, 240 VAC, or 125 VDC, and it has three output voltages, a total of 100 watts. They are +12 VDC output up to 2 amps; +5 VDC output up to 20 amps; and -12 VDC output up to 1 amp. Slide-in rack mount construction, electronic short circuit overcurrent protection, two rack operation from a single power supply, power factor correction for AC operation, and an overvoltage protection device jumper are among the other features.

This rack-mountable module fits into a 48-pin backplane-mounted connector. It is placed in the leftmost slot of any regular IC697 rack or VME Integrator's rack. In a single rack application, the IC697PWR711 can be used. If the entire load is within the supply rating, the component can additionally power a second rack. Interconnection to the second rack is made possible by a prewired cable. At maximum load, the power supply output will ride through at least one input line cycle, resulting in a total loss of input power. Overcurrent and overvoltage fault conditions are both protected.
IC697PWR711M Power Supply Module may accept nominal inputs of 120 VAC or 240 VAC. It's also possible to use a nominal 125 VDC source. The operating voltage and current ranges are 90 VAC to 264 VAC and 100 VDC to 150 VDC, respectively. Some power derating is required for continuous operation (greater than one hour) at low line voltages and high temperatures.
