The main application of the 330901-22-40-10-01-003300 XL NSv sensor system is for use under through-hole, side view, or rear view limitations with standard Bently Nevada* 3300 and 3300 XL 5 mm and 8 mm sensor systems. It is also an ideal choice for small target applications, such as measuring radial vibration of shafts smaller than 51 mm (2 inches) or axial position measurements of flat targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 inches).
It is primarily used in fluid film bearing machines for the following applications where shafts are smaller or side view space is limited:
Radial vibration and radial position measurement
Axial (thrust) position measurement
Tachometer and zero speed measurements
Phase reference (Keyphasor*) signal
The 3300 XL NSv sensor system is designed to replace the 3300 RAM sensor system and the 3000 or 7000 series 190 sensor systems.
Upgrading from the 3300 RAM system to the 3300 XL NSv system allows the use of existing probes, extension cables, and monitoring systems with the 3300 XL NSv Proximitor sensor. When upgrading from the 3000 or 7000 series sensors to the 3300 XL NSv system, the probe, extension cable, and monitoring system must be replaced. The system upgrade requires replacing the probe, extension cable, and Proximitor sensor with the NSv Proximitor sensor.
