The 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor also boasts improved RFI/EMI immunity, meeting European CE mark approvals without the need for special shielded conduit or metallic housings. This results in lower installation costs and complexity, allowing for installation in fiberglass housings without interference from nearby radio frequency signals.

This level of performance is provided by all 3300 XL 8 mm proximity transducer systems, which also offer total interchangeability of probes, extension cables, and Proximitor sensors, removing the need to match or bench calibrate individual components.
Each component of the 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System is backward compatible and interchangeable4 with nonXL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer system components5. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mm probe, which is useful in applications where an 8 mm probe would be too big for the limited mounting area.
