FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION:

330180-90-05 is a 3000 XL 5/8mm Vibration Proximitor Sensor manufactured and designed by Bently Nevada as a part of the 3300 series used in Machinery Condition Monitoring systems. The Bently Nevada 3300 XL 8mm Proximity Transducer System includes a 3300 XL 8mm probe, a 3300 XL extension cable, and a 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor. It delivers an output voltage proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface, enabling measurements of both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) values. Designed primarily for vibration and position monitoring on fluid-film bearing machines, it is also suitable for Keyphasor reference and speed measurements. The standard 5-meter system complies with the API 670 Standard (4th Edition), meeting requirements for mechanical configuration, linear range, accuracy, and temperature stability. The system's components—probes, cables, and Proximitor sensors—are fully interchangeable, ensuring consistent performance without requiring individual matching or calibration.

PROXIMITOR SENSOR:

The 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor features several enhancements over earlier models. Its compact design supports high-density DIN-rail installations and traditional panel mounting, maintaining the same 4-hole mounting footprint as older Proximitor Sensor models. The mounting base for both options provides built-in electrical isolation, removing the need for additional isolator plates.

With superior immunity to radio frequency interference, the 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor can be installed in fiberglass housings without performance degradation from nearby RF signals. Its enhanced RFI/EMI resistance meets European CE mark requirements without the need for shielded conduits or metallic housings, simplifying installation and reducing costs. Additionally, the 3300 XL’s SpringLoc terminal strips streamline wiring by eliminating screw-based clamps, enabling quicker and more secure connections without specialized tools.
