One of the key advantages of the 3300 NSv probe is its increased chemical resistance compared to the older 3300 RAM probe, making it suitable for use in a broader range of process compressor applications, especially those requiring higher durability against harsh chemical environments.

The side-view characteristics of the 3300 NSv probe also offer improved performance compared to the 3000-series 190 probe, particularly when gapping the 3300 NSv probe at the same distance from the probe target. This enhanced feature allows for more accurate and reliable vibration monitoring in various industrial environments.

When used with the 3300XL NSv Proximitor Sensor and monitor, the probe provides precise readings across a wide frequency range. As shown in the frequency response graphs (Figures 16 and 17), the signal rolloff at high frequencies is well-managed, even with longer field wiring lengths. The probe's gapping accuracy is also impressive, with a tolerance of 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil), ensuring accurate measurements within the specified linear range of 1.5 mm (60 mil), with interchangeability errors kept within +12.5%/-20% when measured in increments of 0.25 mm (10 mils). This makes the 3300 NSv probe a highly reliable and versatile solution for vibration monitoring in demanding industrial applications.
