The 07CT41 1SBP260022R1001 is an extensible stand-alone Central Unit from the 40/50 series, designed to ensure that necessary information is preserved during power drops or cuts. It includes a time delay mechanism, which enables the system to save critical internal data for the next startup after a power interruption.

The central unit features a battery to store program data. For the 40/50 series, saving internal program data is only possible with this battery-powered central unit. During operations, the historic variables hold intermediate calculations of functions used in the user program, allowing them to be used for subsequent cycles.

To ensure data is preserved, prior configuration of the central unit is required. This configuration determines which data is saved. If no configuration is applied, the system will reset all functions and internal data to 0 after a restart. This feature enhances system reliability, particularly in cases of power loss, by preventing data loss and ensuring smooth recovery when power is restored.
